Standard application process is as follows. This process can take longer depending on the prep work required and the size of the job.
Day 1
1. We will begin by cleaning the surface of dirt and debris.
2. In all cases we diamond grind the entire surface to ensure proper adhesion of the coating.
3. Repairs will be performed as necessary. Cracks, damage, voids, and spalled concrete will be filled.
4. The basecolor coat is applied. Standard colors used is either gray or tan.
5. Will the base coat is still wet the decorative color chips will be applied to rejection.
Day 2
1) The surface is scraped and vacuumed to remove the excess flake.
2) A clear coat of polyaspartic is applied to lock in the flake and protect the finished floor.
24 hours after application of top coat you can start to move items back into area and in 48 hours you can move your car back into the garage. Be careful for several days while the coating finishes curing. This is particularly important for the clear coat because it is stain resistant but NOT stain proof. The clear coat is more susceptible to staining within the first couple weeks after being installed and gets more stain resistant as time goes on. If you drop paint, stain, oil, gas etc on the surface you will need to clean it up and not let it set on the surface. This will help to ensure your surface stays looking great! Stains are not covered by the warranty.
